Physicians are uniquely qualified to help their patients achieve and sustain the modest weight losses required to reverse obesity-related health risks.

Patients trust their physicians, and seek their advice; studies show that they respond very well to brief, direct interventions.

NIH-sponsored clinical guidelines define the standard of care for overweight and obese patients.

The Slim•Fast Plan, introduced in the office setting, gives physicians a quick, effective, and proven way to meet that standard of care.

Although there is agreement about the health risks of overweight and obesity, there is less agreement about their management.

Physicians who argue against treatment claim that they don't have time during office visits; that it is too difficult for patients to maintain long-term weight loss; that there are no proven and affordable programs available.

The Slim•Fast Plan, described in this presentation, proves otherwise.
